About
Yasmin Levy (born 23 December 1975 in Jerusalem) is a Ladino singer-songwriter of Sephardic descent, now based in Serbia, who has spent over two decades reviving Judeo-Spanish music for global audiences. Her father Yitzhak Levy - a composer, cantor and pioneer researcher of Ladino culture - died when she was just one year old, yet shaped her entire artistic path. Weaving flamenco, Turkish and Middle Eastern sounds into ancient Ladino songs, she has released seven studio albums and performed at major venues worldwide, earning BBC Radio 3 World Music Award nominations and the 2008 USA Songwriting Competition prize for 'Me Voy'.
