PROFIVE - Five Professors in a Wind Quintet

The Süddeutsche Bläsersolisten PROFIVE bring top-level artistry and infectious musical joy, carrying on the tradition of the Würzburger Bläsersolisten. All five members hold professorships at music academies and, alongside their teaching, perform as soloists and in various other chamber ensembles.

In PROFIVE they find a natural balance between professional fidelity to the score and sheer delight in playing together. That combination is the secret behind the spark that ignites at every concert from the very first note. A particular mission of PROFIVE is to bring rarely performed masterworks to wider audiences, alongside the well-known repertoire.
