Barclay James Harvest is a British rock band formed in Oldham in 1967. They built their sound around orchestral arrangements, mellotron and strings alongside classic rock instrumentation - comparisons to Moody Blues and Pink Floyd followed them throughout their career. Their 1970 debut album was recorded with their own orchestra, setting the template for the symphonic style they kept ever since.
