Gogol Bordello is a New York-based gypsy punk band founded in 1999 by Ukrainian-born frontman Eugene Hütz, who fled the Chernobyl disaster as a teenager. The multinational lineup - drawing members from Ukraine, Russia, Ecuador, Ethiopia and the US - blends Romani and Eastern European folk with punk, dub and hardcore, anchored by violin and accordion. Their explosive live shows and albums such as Super Taranta! (2007) and Solidaritine (2022) earned them a devoted international following, and their ninth studio album We Mean It, Man! arrived in February 2026.
