LaBrassBanda is a Bavarian brass band from Übersee am Chiemsee, founded in 2007 by trumpeter and frontman Stefan Dettl and four fellow music-school graduates. Their style - dubbed 'Neue Volksmusik' - fuses traditional brass with ska, reggae, techno and punk, and their barefoot-in-Lederhosen live shows have made them a fixture at major European festivals. A 2013 Eurovision pre-selection entry with 'Nackert' pushed the album Europa to #3 in Germany and cemented their national breakthrough.
