Light Asylum is an American darkwave duo from Brooklyn, formed around 2009 by Shannon Funchess and Bruno Coviello. Their sound blends post-punk, industrial electronics and driving synth textures, with Funchess's powerful vocals at the center. The duo released their self-titled debut EP in 2011 and toured extensively on the underground club and festival circuit.
