About

The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation is a Dutch experimental collective founded in Utrecht in 2007 as the fully improvised alter ego of The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, built around Jason Köhnen (bass, electronics) and Gideon Kiers (electronics). The group weaves drone metal, free jazz and dark ambient into slow, trance-like live sessions - each performance shaped by the room, the audience and the mood of the moment. After disbanding in late 2013, the original lineup reunited in 2025 and has been performing again since, with new music reportedly in progress.
