Florian Christl & Ensemble - Live 2026

Munich composer and pianist Florian Christl is one of the most interesting artists of recent years. His debut album immediately entered the international classical charts. His music recalls Ludovico Einaudi or Herbert Pixner, yet Christl has developed a completely distinctive and recognizable style of his own.

Together with a string sextet, Florian Christl will present in Fürstenzell - for the first time in Lower Bavaria - his finest compositions from recent years. His passionate playing and simultaneously captivating, deeply moving compositional work reveal Christl's all-encompassing love of music. The combination of tender yet energetic piano playing with extraordinary, imaginative string arrangements creates music of entirely singular character. His compositions speak directly to our emotions, making his concerts an exceptionally gripping and profoundly moving experience.

Improvisation is his primary creative method. For Christl, composing is a deeply personal, almost intimate process in which he remains alone with his music and thoughts. The goal is to create an individually experienced space - a place where the focus is on "escaping reality and feeling alive while lost in thought".

His debut album "Inspiration" from 2018 immediately reached the global classical charts and the Top 20 of German classical lists. Since then, Christl has captivated audiences on international tours. The album "Donau", released on November 8, 2024, by Sony Classical, is a musical journey from source to mouth. All twelve compositions are inspired by nature and the musical traditions of the cities and regions along the Danube.
