The Legendary Irish Christmas Tour 2026 by Seldom Sober Company

Since 2003, this unique musical celebration has captivated audiences year after year with its blend of atmosphere, humor, and artistry. For fourteen years, the tour has grown in popularity, with many shows selling out well in advance.

This year marks the debut of internationally acclaimed cellist Matthias Hübner. His music is defined by the extraordinary use of the cello, whose captivating sound resembles the human voice. The musician draws from his instrument not just singing, but also sobbing, screaming, and crying. His performance is moving, full of life, and deeply emotional.

From Weimar comes multi-instrumentalist Franz Merker (violin, banjo, guitar, flute), joining the Irish Christmas Tour for the third time. Merker impresses with authentically performed Irish ballads and traditional dance tunes, paying careful attention to genuine interpretation.

Alex Wurlitzer rounds out the ensemble with a superb resonator guitar, bringing elements of Americana to the programme. The show is completed by Irish step-dancer Marie Christin John.

Seldom Sober Company was founded in 2003. Since then, the band has performed over 1,000 concerts across Germany, Belgium, Denmark, and Austria.
