Feuerbach Education Programme — Kulturforum Illenau, Achern

An engaging, interactive concert for children and young people with the Feuerbach Quartett. Suitable from age 8.

Getting young audiences excited about string instruments is a core passion of these four musicians. Through accessible anecdotes and playful demonstrations, the Feuerbach Quartett brings not only classical music to the stage but also well-known melodies of today. String instruments are as timeless as music itself - which is why a violin can carry Mozart just as well as Taylor Swift. Music through the ages: from Joseph Haydn to Billie Eilish.

Mozart pawning his compositions to fund a gambling addiction. Dvorak leaving his children behind to escape to the USA. The world of classical music is every bit as dramatic as a Hollywood blockbuster. When these gripping stories come alive in sound, when Dmitri Shostakovich makes you feel the Cold War all over again, and when four classical string instruments suddenly sound like a rock band - the astonishment isn't limited to the children in the room. In this way, centuries of music are brought to life with clarity and wit, culminating in well-known pop songs by the Beatles, Michael Jackson, and Billie Eilish.

Supported by bookshop Büchermehr, bookshop Osiander Achern, and main sponsor E-Werk Mittelbaden.
