Quadro Nuevo - 30 Years around the World!

Mediterranean lightness has always defined the music of Quadro Nuevo: tango and French valse musette, Aegean mythological melodies, daring travel songs along a sun-drenched coastal road, Oriental grooves, Brazilian flavour and Neapolitan hits flow together in playful harmony. Quadro Nuevo was founded in 1996 in the Chiemgau region. Since then, these passionate virtuoso musicians have toured the world and performed around 4,000 concerts. Their sonic poetry emerges on the road: the band draws from the magic of extended travels - from the streets of Bari through the Balkan ridges to the colours of Bangalore and the nights of Buenos Aires. The venues of their performances are as diverse as the roots of their music.

Whether at renowned festivals or in halls like Carnegie Hall, Quadro Nuevo meets its audience with equal dedication. These playful virtuosos also love spontaneous action: sailing for weeks through the Aeolian islands, sounding as street musicians on Mediterranean squares, or as a midnight tango ensemble calling people to dance. From all these encounters emerges music that can give a home to people's hopes and longings. Quadro Nuevo has twice received the ECHO award as "best live act of the year", the German Record Critics' Prize, several German Jazz Awards and a Gold Record.
