Philharmonie Essen is a major concert hall located in the heart of Essen, opened in 2004 as part of the Aalto-Quartier cultural district. Designed by the architectural firm von Gerkan, Marg und Partner (gmp), it seats around 1,800 guests in its main hall and is home to the Essener Philharmoniker. The venue hosts classical concerts, international orchestras, and a wide range of musical events throughout the year.
