You know the feeling: you find a dusty old chest and suddenly forgotten objects and memories surface, each carrying a story long since buried. That's a bit like what happened to Igor Stravinsky when he set off on a musical journey into the past. In this concert, a mysterious box is opened too - inside lie beloved toys, dolls and figures from years gone by, which wake up the moment someone remembers them, start causing mischief and pull the whole orchestra into their spell. But watch out: when these cheeky visitors from the past take on a life of their own and their pranks send melodies stumbling and rhythms tumbling, Ingrid Hausl will need every trick she has - and plenty of help from the children in the audience.
